‘WITH THIS RING’ OPENS ON FRIDAY ….” THE WEDDING IN CONTEMPORARY BELIEF”.
The Exhibition at the Corinne Maman Museum
The exhibition ‘ With this Ring ‘ presents the up to the minute expression of this traditional ceremony which brings home and combines both the world overview and the personal beliefs of married couples.
Through their creativeness MITIVIM HAAMANIM ( The Best of Beliefs) investigate the significance of the ceremony and the implications of the group and upon themselves, looking for the social pluralism as a day in the Jewish cultural experiences of Israel , attempting to preserve the traditional foundations in this era of change and fluctuations. The exhibition is promoted through the Ministry of Information and National Dispersion directed by Roz Samira from the Bet Hatfutzot.
The exhibition opens on Friday 30th December 2011 at 11.30 am. at the Ashdod museum named after Corinne Maman . Attending.. .. The mayor of the city Dr.Yechiel Lasri, The city’s special projects officer and chairman of the city directorate department for culture and leisure Mr. Boris Gitterman, CEO of the city’s department for culture , leisure time and Matnassim, Mr. Yigael Gamliel,. Artists taking part are , Ralli Avraham, Nili Agassi, Shai Azulai, Chaya Gratz-Ran, Mirav Hyman, Dema Vellerstein, Menachem Cahanah, Dovid Adika, Ayelet Pinto, Raut Forester, Ofra Chmelivista, Tzvika Kantor, Hyla Kerev Lenikov, Melissa Schiff, Dafna Shapira Chason,.
Other artists involved are Naama Aaronson, Ira Obolleski, Yiffat Elisher, Dorothea Biyales, Shiri Lanzer, Sarah Shahak.
